Secured approval for a $5 million purchase order facility and $3 million factoring facility for an innovative HVAC supplier experiencing tight cash flow. Improved decision making with ERP software, management dashboards, and cash flow forecasting.

Facilitated fast growth for a group of media companies

Scaled day-to-operations as a startup quickly grew to a controlled group of high-profile digital broadcasting and e-gaming companies. Oversaw all financial, legal, and tax matters for six limited liability companies with offices and production studios in 22 states and Ireland.

Increased operational efficiency for dental practices

Improved productivity and business visibility for a number of dental practices partnered with a dental support organization (DSO). Created custom executive presentations. Implemented accounts payable automation and improved processes.

Guided entry into new markets for a financial services company

Supported rapid growth of a Top 10 education company by recruiting and building teams for reporting, treasury, accounting and financial technology. Reduced risk and prevented fraud as new lending products were launched. Put in place operational controls over $13.8 billion in assets.

Fostered bottom-line growth for a national nonprofit by defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly sharing performance results with senior managers. Paved the way for federal funding by developing the organization’s first indirect rate proposal and gaining approval from the U.S. Department of Energy.

She has successfully guided entry into new markets based on comprehensive financial analysis, effective operational processes, and solid risk controls. Technologically adept, she harnesses digital transformation to support data-driven decision-making and optimize efficiency.

Wood began her professional career in public accounting, rising to Audit & Management Advisory Partner in a boutique CPA firm in San Diego, California. Wood provided audits and assurance services that aided companies in improving their corporate reporting and ensuring their systems operated effectively within a well-controlled environment. When one of her audit clients offered her the position of Chief Financial Officer, Wood seized the opportunity to utilize her technical knowledge to foster business growth, transitioning from a consultative role to a C-level executive.

Today Wood applies an analytical perspective, “hands on” approach, and broad technical skills to bring insights and solutions to her clients.
